100 SC/ST seats at IIT go waste each yr
Over 100 seats reserved for scheduled caste (SC) and scheduled tribe (ST) candidates go waste every year at IIT Mumbai.
Statistics from the last three years reveal that nearly 50 per cent of the seats reserved for SC and ST students are not filled for want of candidates.
